Summarize and Chat with Documents, Videos, and Audio Files
Welcome to iSummarize. We created this tool to help you quickly understand your documents, videos, and audio files without having to go through everything from start to finish.
For many of us, time constraints make it challenging to complete various tasks, whether it is an extensive report, a recorded seminar, or a lengthy conference. Here’s where iSummarize steps in; it processes your documents, generates a clear summary, and enables you to ask questions about the content in a natural, conversational manner.
How This Tool Works With Your Files
We support several file types so you can get the insights you need fast. Here's how it handles each one:
1. Text Documents (PDF, DOCX, & TXT)
iSummarize analyzes your document, identifying key sections, data tables, and important lists. Instead of searching through countless pages, you will quickly receive a clear, organized summary. Do you need to locate a particular piece of information? Simply ask in the chat window, and the relevant details will be retrieved from your document.
2. Video Files (MP4 & MKV)
iSummarize is perfect for summarizing videos and extracting key concepts from them. Lengthy lectures and presentations can consume hours of your time. iSummarize extracts the audio from your video and processes it to generate a comprehensive summary. You can ask questions about specific timestamps or topics instead of watching the entire video.
3. Audio Recordings (MP3 & WAV)
iSummarize also supports audio files such as WAV and MP3. If you need to listen to recorded lectures, meetings, or lengthy voice memos, iSummarize is the perfect tool. It transcribes the spoken content and highlights key takeaways. After that, you can chat with your audio file to find action items, extract specific details, or request custom summaries.
4. YouTube Videos
Have a YouTube video you want to summarize? Simply download the video or audio file and upload it directly into the chat workspace. iSummarize will transcribe the content and generate a clear summary so you can chat with the content just like any other file.
Everything the AI tells you is based strictly on the content of your files. No made-up information or external data — just accurate answers drawn directly from what you uploaded.
How to Use iSummarize
It is very easy to get started. Take these actions:
- Open the chat box at the bottom of the page.
- Click the paperclip icon next to the message field to submit your file.
- Select the file you want to work with — PDF, Word doc, video, or audio.
- Wait a few seconds while it uploads and processes. Text files are usually quick, while videos and audio take a bit longer because of transcription.

Who It's For
People use iSummarize in all kinds of ways. Here are some common examples:
- Students: Upload a long lecture recording and get a clean written summary plus transcript. Ideal for making study notes or reviewing before tests without having to watch the entire lecture again.
- Professionals: Missed a meeting? Upload the recording and get a transcript with key decisions and action items. You can also upload contracts or reports to find specific clauses quickly.
- Researchers: Quickly scan academic papers by uploading PDFs and asking the assistant to summarize findings, methods, or conclusions. Helps you decide which papers are worth a deeper read.
